Ready, Set, Prepare all the food...

Ready. Set. Prepare. All the food. And you thought it would be easier than that, didn't you? Ha! I have told you before that babies are little creatures of habit, and so having a routine when it comes to preparing the food is always a good idea. Well, if your baby likes to eat, I mean really likes to eat — like mines always have, since they were born — you will be busy and tired every day, but with a bit of organization, everything becomes easy-peasy.

The first step is to prepare all the food you need for the week ahead. This way, if you have a particularly busy day (or just an especially long nap), you won’t have to worry about making dinner — it will already be ready! If you know that some nights will be busier than others with errands or social events, make sure that there is enough food on hand for those days.

I like to make a large batch of homemade baby food on Sunday nights. I typically make enough for the week ahead, even if it means that I have some extra containers in my freezer. This way, when the twins had a growth spurt and wanted something different each day, I just pull out whatever frozen food we’re running low on and pop it in the microwave for a minute or two.

I’m also a big fan of making my own baby food. It’s so easy, and you can control what goes into it! You know exactly what your little one is eating, which is great for those picky eaters who only want certain things (mine certainly does!).

Lastly a bib is super important as we know babies are messy eaters
