For our first blog, we thought we'll talk about birth plan.
Did you or do you have one?
Well...I did and I was pleasantly surprise when they asked me for mine at the hospital and the nurse pinned it on my chart.
Although they couldn't follow EVERYTHING...
I wanted delayed cord clamping but baby swallowed meconium and they had to suctioned him and to do so they had to cut the cord and take him away but everything else was followed: epidural, breastfeeding, skin to skin, coaching for pushing, all I asked for.
I am happy to see hospitals making so much progress.
I gave birth in 2006, 2009 and 2012 and was never asked if I have one or what my wishes were.
