Baby is TEETHING

Congratulations, you've made it through the pregnancy! The next few months are a crucial time for your baby's development. Teething is one of the many milestones your baby will achieve in these early months. While teething can be painful for your little one, there are ways to help alleviate their discomfort. By understanding what to expect and being prepared, you can help your baby through this milestone.

What is teething?

Teething is the process whereby an infant's first teeth erupt through the gums. This usually occurs around 6 months of age, but can vary from baby to baby. For some, teething can be a relatively painless process. Others, however, may experience more discomfort.

There are a few signs that your baby is teething:

1. Increased drooling

2. Chewing on objects

3. Irritability

4. Rubbing of the face or ears

5. waking at night

If your baby is showing any of these signs, they may be teething.

How to help your teething baby

There are a few things you can do to help your teething baby.

1. Offer them a cool, wet cloth to chew on. Our handmade loveys are perfect for this

2. Teething rings and biscuits can also help to soothe your baby's gums.

3. Massaging your baby's gums with your finger can also help to ease discomfort.

4. Finally, give your baby plenty of cuddles and comfort.

Remember, every baby is different and will therefore experience teething differently. Some may find relief from the above measures, while others may not. If you are concerned about your baby's discomfort, please consult your healthcare provider.

While teething can be a trying time for both baby and parent, it is a normal part of development. By being prepared and understanding what to expect, you can help your baby through this milestone. Additional information on teething can be found here:
